3D Laser Cutting

High Precision & Efficiency

Why Use 3D Laser Cutting?

There are several advantages to choosing 3D technology the primary one being the reduction of manufacturing costs due the increase in precision and repeatability. Think of the implications of a laser cutting technology that can be utilized on a product after it has been formed and welded! In fact, while a part is being designed and manufactured the laser path can simultaneously be programmed to perform the trimming and hole making operations – so when the part is ready, so is the laser. Turn-around times can be reduced in most cases from 3-4 weeks down to 3-4 days! 3D Laser cutting can replace many drilling, milling, and cutting operations with high precision at reduced costs.

Slots & Tabs

With 3D Laser cutting technology, you get the best of both worlds; flexibility in production and design. Parts can be created from flat, square and round materials and assembled without any welding, connectors or bolts. Flexibility to design notches and holes of any size or shape proves to be invaluable for manufacturers utilizing this technology. Fabricators of aluminum beams that make up the framework of structures can utilize 3D Laser cutting for creating the holes, slots and notches necessary to attach to other frame pieces. With tighter tolerances than old manual methods of slotting and notching, increased strength is achieved in the overall product.

3D Laser cutting also allows trimming, drilling and cutting on formed sheet metal parts. The laser allows the flexibility to process any part one time without slowing down production. This flexibility in production means no more creation of templates. It allows for custom and made to order products the norm for fabricators. The dependency on standard products melts away and jobs are configured on the fly. No more finding and changing drill bits from ½” to 5/8” – with the laser technology, you just do it. And again, with less welding necessary due to tight tolerances, maximum strengths are achieved in all products.
